I noticed this item this morning: Woman Taking Selfie having a stroke. I have been there and I know exactly what is going through her mind. Amazingly I was at her age when I had mine. Trans Ischemic Attack (TIA).
When I called my doctors it was immediately to the hospital. Her doctors blamed it on stress until some one took her seriously.
On the Blog Roll you will find a link to Dr. Helen Smith at PJMedia. She tells a dramatic story about how the medical profession responded to her complaints about pain in her chest. Women do not have heart problems. Well, she showed em that generalization is not true.
I have observed commentary over the years that women's health complaints are not treated with the seriousness as men's health complaints.
Another area of contention is the testing of new medications for efficacy and side affects. No effort is made in determining the differences in results between the sexes. Both are treated the same - inferring the benefits found for men also apply equally for women. Witch may or may not be the case.
To me the question is this deliberate action in the War on Women or is it something else?
I believe it is a result of unintended consequences evolving from decisions made for sociological and expediency.
